Bilberry is a small, dark blue berry, growing wild in the difference with cultivated blueberry and is known for its potential health benefits. It's native to Europe and grows in moist, acidic soil in forested areas. Bilberry is rich in antioxidants called anthocyanins, which improve vision, reduce inflammation and protect against certain diseases. It's commonly consumed in the form of supplements, teas, jams and is also widely used in medicine to treat various ailments. Bilberries include both higher vitamin C and vitamin E content than cultivated blueberries. The bilberry is slightly smaller than the blueberry, about 3-10 mm in diameter.
